TWS Dishes On Their Successful Debut Year, Rookie Mindset, And More

TWS has sat down with the fashion magazine Esquire Korea to discuss their remarkable debut year and resolutions for the future!

The title of this photoshoot is “A Glorious Journey,” which metaphorically represents TWS’s path as they wrap up their passionate debut year and take their first steps into a new chapter.

In the interview conducted alongside the photoshoot, the unique personalities and charms of all six members stood out. Shinyu shared, “This is a time when I deeply feel that the things we’ve learned from our previous activities are genuinely helping us in our next steps,” explaining the reason behind giving their all to every scheduled activity.

Jihoon, who often shed tears of gratitude whenever the team received great love, said, “I think I keep tearing up during moments of achievement because I’m with the people who helped me discover myself and the ones I want to continue being with in the future.”

When told that he seems playful, Dohoon responded with a sparkle in his eyes, “I really do joke around a lot. I enjoy being affectionate with people, so if I were to compare myself to a dog, I think I’d be similar to a long-haired Chihuahua.”

Youngjae showed the eager mindset of a rookie, saying, “I realized that for an idol, being good at singing and dancing are just the absolute basics, and none of the countless other elements can be overlooked.”

Moments that highlighted TWS’s strong bond were also evident. Reflecting on their debut year, Hanjin shared with a happy facial expression, “I never felt lonely because I was singing and dancing to songs I love with my closest friends.”

The youngest member Kyungmin thoughtfully remarked that he sees TWS as “a ship that has just set sail.” He remarked, “As we venture out into the rough seas and face a long journey ahead, not only do our members need to give it their all, but I also feel that the strength of our crew—the staff—is essential.”
