CAF Women’s Champions League: TP Mazembe bounce back in style
After a disappointing opening defeat to ASEC Mimosas (0-1) last Sunday, TP Mazembe responded in emphatic fashion on Wednesday evening with a commanding 3-0 victory over Gaborone United at the Right to Dream Stadium in Cairo.
The breakthrough came in the 32nd minute when Kagaelebane Mohlakoana, perfectly set up by Rosemary Adesina, fired home a precise low strike to open the scoring.

The goal boosted Mazembe’s confidence as they began to dominate possession and control the wide areas.
After the break, captain Marlène Yav Kasaj doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 61st minute to put her side in an even more comfortable position.
In stoppage time, Elena Nkuandum sealed the win with a fine finish (90+3’), rounding off a confident and disciplined team performance.
The convincing victory puts TP Mazembe firmly back in contention for a place in the knockout stages.
